Last Saturday we invited a small bunch of Resoulers and SOULmates into our Berlin Office in Kreuzberg to experiment with a new exchange format that we call the RESOULsessions, and which we plan to open for a wider crowd in the forthcoming process. 

The idea is not new and simple: If we all knew what we know and if we used all the personal and collective resources we can provide for each other in terms of knowledge, ideas, resonance and inspiration in a structured and creative way… how cool would that be? 

After getting into it on Friday night with a BBQ and some nice and sort of unexpected “Dark’n Stormies” provided by Stephan, we deeply dug into our topics Saturday morning: Henning took us on a journey into his current PhD Research on Identity Leadership at Marburg University. It was amazing to directly link and discuss theory and findings with our subject:RESOUL projects as well as the experiences that Markus (spreadshirt, brandwatch, ADAC Camping, InveritaSoft), Georg (Internations, Rocket Internet, JobLift, Jovoto), and Julius (Zalando, Fyber) made in diverse agile and complex Tech and Start Up Environments. 

We used this impulse to directly shift into advancing our concept for an interdisciplinary exchange format we call ComplexityLeadership. It’s designed for senior (tech-) leaders facing high speed and complex environments, and we plan to launch it here in Berlin this autumn. Also, Nele and Johannes provided insights into our current sociocracy projects be it implementation of sociocracy at our clients or experiences they currently gathered while experimenting with consent in the political context at the Innocracy 2018. Inspiration included, for example for Ina from Save the Children and Frischluft.

In further sessions of the day, Stephan brought in the topic of "sexy continuous development" for organizations. We collected and compared ideas as well as new and existing approaches and concepts and Stephan will take it from here. 

Markus got resonance and ideas for a question that has moved him for a long time: How can we get real agility into companies’ boardrooms? How can you actually handle all those often mentioned and discussed conflicts such as need for speed and trust vs. loss of control and power in your everyday management routines? Questions, which are apparently not always as easy to answer in the real world as some speakers out there would like to make us think.  

We finished the day with a collective breathing and reflection exercise facilitated by Julius, who managed to get us all back down to earth from our heads into our bodies and to finish the day in good spirits and energy.
